Welcome to Eimear Finnegan Counselling & Psychotherapy

I am a psychotherapist in private practice, working under the Mind and Body Works umbrella in Galway Ireland. As a human, parent, daughter, sister and eternal child of the universe, I understand that life can be challenging. With a compassionate and empathetic approach, I am here to help you navigate through your personal journey.

About Eimear (she/her)

I am an accredited (IACP) psychotherapist, based in Galway city. My primary training is in holistic psychotherapy and so my aim is to honour all parts of your being - mind, body, heart, spirit and soul.

I provide a confidential space to explore the distress and pain that is holding you back from being your truest self. We all have work to do on our relationship with ourselves - I am here to walk along that journey with you.

I work with adults of all ages, genders, races, religious and spiritual beliefs, sexual orientations, and levels of ability.

My  particular areas of interest include increasing clients’ self-acceptance, using psychoeducation to treat anxiety, helping people with diagnosed or suspected ASD/ADHD, and other types of neurodivergence, carve out a place for themselves in a neurotypical world.

A new goal of mine is to diversify my practice by branching out into providing targeted psychoeducation so that I can influence more people to really connect with themselves, what they want and what they need in their lives.
